Reporting Warranty Items
The many details of warranty coverage can be confusing. We hope this list will help make reporting items easier. If you do not know who to contact, call your warranty representative for assistance.
Appliances
Contact the manufacturer directly with the model and serial number, settlement date, and description of problem. Refer to your Trade Contractor call list in the Customer Service section of your manual for the phone number.
Emergency
During regular business hours (Monday through Thursday, 8a.m. till 5p.m. and Friday, 8a.m. till 4:30p.m.) contact the appropriate Trade Contractor found on your call list in the Customer Service section of your manual or your warranty representative.
After business hours, weekends or holidays, contact the appropriate Trade Contractor found on your call list in the Customer Service section of your manual; or Berks Homes after hours call service, 1-866-484-7437, press option 1 to speak with the answering service.
Non-emergency
Submit all non-emergency warranty items on the 2-3 month or 9-11 month service request forms. Use the links above to fill out your form online or refer to the form found in the Customer Service section of your manual.
Generally, reported items fall into one of three categories:
• In-house item
• Trade Contractor item
• Homeowner maintenance item
If an in-house employee or a trade contractor is required to perform repairs, we issue a warranty work order describing the situation to be addressed. If the item is home owner maintenance, we will review the maintenance steps with you and offer whatever informational assistance we can.
