Construction workers go on a... field trip?

You heard us right! We had the privilege of hosting high school students from Newport High School in Perry County to learn about a day in the life of new home building.

Welcome to the Berks Family Newport High School students! (Thank you Experience Team for the food and giveaways😊)

Berks employees from sales, drafting and construction set up in different areas of our Morgan’s Crossing model home and community to present to the students.  They went over the tools and experience one might want or need to pursue any of these career paths, and answered any questions they had.

We had a very full day of touring and lots of information, so we needed to take a quick lunch break in the middle of the day. You can’t have a field trip without a food truck, right?

Let's eat! (Thank you to Mel's RocknBBQ for the fantastic lunch!)

We had a few giveaways (we had to include our trade partners too!) and some more fun, and sadly the day had to come to an end.

Our team was so impressed with all the students that participated! It was a pleasure to host them, and it will be an honor to continue our relationship with the schools and organizations that put together events like this. We are already looking forward to the next one, and anyone in our industry that wants to hear more and join us the next time, please reach out! Email us at - bhmarketing@berkshomes.com

Berks Homes wants to give a special thank you to our Director of Purchasing and Estimating, Tim Matoushek, for bringing this opportunity to us. We appreciate you and your passion for our industry, and you created a day of inspiration for everyone involved!
