LET'S TALK ABOUT ADVANTAGES TO LIVING IN THE SUBURBS VS. THE CITY!

Deciding where to live is one of the biggest decisions of your life. Suburbs, city, city, suburbs...decisions, decisions. There is a lot to consider. Sure, there are advantages and disadvantages to city and suburban living, but let's explore six advantages of living in the suburbs vs. the city.

1.)Quieter.Suburbs offer quieter and more laidback neighborhoods than the city, with more space between homes and less traffic noise (honking horns) overall.

2.)Affordability.Homes in a suburb will trend more affordable to purchase and likely increase their value over time, whereas the same sized home in the city can be two or three times the price. You can find yourself able to afford more square footage and upgraded features living in a suburban area.

3.)Health.Compared to the city, suburbs have less air and noise pollution. There are also more outdoor areas, such as parks with play areas for kids, plus running and walking paths, etc., promoting activities that can lead to a healthier lifestyle.

4.)Privacy / Space. You will find more single-family homes in the suburbs, putting space between yourself and potential neighbors. Speaking of space, the houses in the suburbs offer square footage with more bedrooms and bathrooms. In addition, outdoor space provides room for outdoor living as well. If you have/plan to have children (yes, even the furry kind), the outdoor space can be a big plus, with room to run and play in the backyard.

5.)A Sense of Community. Many suburban communities host neighborhood events where you can meet your neighbors and, possibly, make lifelong friends. Imagine backyard barbeques and pool parties with your new friends.

6.)Safety.This is an important advantage. The suburbs statistically feature a low crime rate. And once you have built that sense of community (see #5), you tend to watch out for each other, adding to the safety factor of suburban living.

Whether you live in the suburbs now and are ready to move to a new home, or you are in the city and ready to see what suburban living is all about, we are here to help!
