LET'S TALK ABOUT SCATTERED LOTS!

Typically, at Berks Homes, we build entire new home communities, where we are the exclusive builder. However, their are those times that you will see one of our "for sale" signs on a "random" piece of land, or as we call it, a "scattered lot". Not only that, but a "scattered lot" can also be found in an established community.

At Berks Homes, a scattered lot is a plot of land that we have purchased, whether it be in a community that is being developed by another or even multiple home builders, or a plot of land that is not situated within a neighborhood that we have purchased to make available for building a home.

Many times, we will begin building a home on these scattered lots that are then available as a Quick Move-In Home. What this means is that once we have the lot prepared to build on, we will begin the building process, using our expertise to choose the floor plan that fits best in the space. You can rest assured that all the finished touches will be on point, with the help of our talented Selection Gallery Consultants. Dependent on the timing, and the building stage, you may have the opportunity to choose some, most or all of the finishings. Check out my Quick Move-In blog from October 2022 for more information about our quick move-in homes.

Although we love our exclusive communities, one pro to building on a scattered lot, vs. within a single builder community is, if you want to live in a neighborhood where the houses are quite different in appearance, then this could be for you. Since there are several different builders within the community, there will be a wide array to the look and feel of the homes.

When building on a scattered lot with Berks Homes, you will have several functional and beautiful floor plans to choose from.
