LET'S TALK ABOUT THINGS TO DO IN BLOOMSBURG PA!
One driving factor when choosing where you will build a home is location.
One of the many things I love about Berks Homes is where we choose to build our new home communities.
We strive to build in areas that are just off the beaten path, but in areas that are growing and offer a variety of things to see and do. Areas that most, if not all people can see themselves living.
Take Sunland Preserve for instance. This new home community is located in the historic, quaint town of Bloomsburg, Pa. Bloomsburg boasts a vibrant downtown community that prides itself on providing a welcoming, all-inclusive and equitable place for all whose path leads them to this cool town.
Although it may be considered small, Bloomsburg is home to some large institutions that allows for a rich economic history and diverse economy. Some of these institutions include Bloomsburg University, Autoneum and Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital. Not to mention, the downtown community offers many small businesses that include shops, bars and restaurants.
There is space for an abundance of recreational activities such as baseball, soccer, tennis and basketball, plus a fitness trail, community pool and public skate park, all at the beautiful Landmark Town Park. Bloomsburg offers a variety of things to see and do, making it a great area to live, work and play!
I would be remiss if I didn't mention one of the biggest events in the area, as well as one of the largest in the country....the Bloomsburg Fair, which is held in September each year. This fair is a week long event and draws over 400,000 residents and visitors to the streets to take part in the daily events and entertainment options.
If you are looking for fun winter activities to do now, you will find skiing and snow tubing at several ski resorts that are all quite close in proximity to Bloomsburg. These include Jack Frost, Cambelback and Sno Mountain.
